New HBRC data search portal now available!
30 July 2024

Exciting news for all users of HBRC data! Our data request service has now changed to a new automated system, provided by https://my.lerc.online/. Using this website, you can choose from a range of data packages that we have designed to suit the needs of the majority of commercial data requests, as well as a free public data search which generates a species list within any 1km search area. Data requesting and provision will all be carried out within the My LERC website, which will provide the following benefits:
- Fast – data search results will be returned within a maximum of 2 working days, but generally within 2 hours
- Data search results are provided in eMapper, an easy-to-use online mapping tool which includes the following features:
- Interactive mapping of species, habitats and sites on a range of base maps including OS 1:25,000 maps, aerial photos, OpenStreetMap and more
- Customisable display of species records and sites, allowing you to create and print your own map
- A range of easy-to-use filters to select data by year, distance or resolution, or to create a simple species list
- Display data using our ‘Public’ or ‘Confidential’ display modes and download records in PDF or Excel formats
- Improved datasets – the staff time freed up by this automated system will allow us to mobilise many more datasets into our database, and increase the time spent on verification of species identification
Our prices have increased slightly to reflect the improved service and cover the cost of providing it; all prices can be viewed at https://my.lerc.online/DataRequest.aspx?src=he. My LERC can also be accessed from our website via the Services page.
It’s a very exciting time for us and we hope you’ll be pleased with the latest results of our continuing efforts to improve the information we hold and the services we provide.
