The Herefordshire Fungal Survey Group is a committed and passionate group who regularly survey across the county. On a recent foray to Eyton they came across a strange Amanita (which includes the deadly Death Cap and Destroying Angel). It turned out to be Amanita Inopinata which was only discovered in the UK in 1976. The closest record is in Oxfordshire so this was well outside its range. A testament to the skill of the recorders and an important find. You can join the group as well if you are inspired!
