A table showing the details of the Recorders’ and Naturalists’ meeting event
Venue:Herefordshire Archive and Records Centre
Address:Fir Tree Lane, Hereford HR2 6LA
Cost:Free

Contact:Emma Gardner and Jane Tavener

This is a great opportunity to hear news and updates from the world of biological recording in Herefordshire, find out how local projects are using biological data, learn about taxa, and catch up with fellow recorders. We will have talks from:

• Emma Gardner and Jane Tavener: ‘Latest news from HBRC’
• Toby Fountain – ‘Local Wildlife Site Project’
• Charlie Alfandary – ‘Herefordshire’s Local Nature Recovery Strategy’
• Dave Taft – ‘Fascination of Plant Galls – Identification, Biology and Ecology’

In response to feedback, speakers will be using a microphone so that those at the back don’t miss anything; we’ll also be providing some extra time for networking/catching up, and adding a new element, naturalists’ soapboxes! These are 5-minute speaking slots that attendees can sign up to, where they’ll be able to tell the audience about something related to biological recording – it could be a recording project they're working on, a species group of interest, a recording group or event/s they’d like to promote, a particularly interesting site or something else similar. If you’d like to sign up, just drop us an email at hbrc@herefordshire.gov.uk.

Light refreshments will be provided. This is a free event but booking is essential – please email hbrc@herefordshire.gov.uk to book your place, by the 18th November at the latest to allow us to finalise all arrangements for the day.
