An introduction to fungi for beginners and the less experienced. The six week course will concentrate on mushroom and toadstools and will touch on the other types of larger fungi – such as the jelly fungi, puffballs, clubs, hedgehog fungi, brackets and some of the larger cup fungi.

There will be a lecture followed by a more informal hand-on session when specimens brought in by the students will be identified and discussed.

Students are advised to bring a x10 hand lens.

This 6 session course is mornings only on the dates/times listed below. Participants are expected to undertake all 6 or as many as they can.
